Процесс работы

  • 01

    You place an order

To place an order, several options are available:
    • fill out the form on our website
    • email us
    • phone our manager
  • 02

Our manager contacts you within 10 minutes

Our client manager sees your request immediately and contacts you within 10 minutes. He will inquire about deadlines for the project, the field of translation (to clarify the terminology and pick an appropriate provider), the format in which you would like to receive the final files, and whether you need DTP or any other additional services.

  • 03

    Our specialists assess the project

Our specialists analyze the source text against the following checklist: need for DTP/ready-for-print preparation, project field, presence of technical terms, availability of relevant glossaries.

The field of the source text is a key factor, since Databridge cannot handle all texts. Our scope tends to extend to handling special-purpose texts (of a non-fiction type). Our team consists of highly qualified technical specialists and industry experts, and translators having field-specific technical, economic, medical, and legal education backgrounds. We take only those projects for which we can guarantee top quality results.

Our client manager contacts the project department and checks whether they have providers available for your project. Usually, the relevant specialist will be able to commence with your order immediately: after all, we have more than 2000 linguists from around the world in our database.

If the field of your text is covered by our list of services, we accept your request and immediately send you a confirmation. If for some reason we cannot fulfill your request, we promptly contact you and explain the reason for this.

The manager calculates the project cost

The final project cost is based upon:
    • The level of text specialization
    • Required file format and additional services (DTP, design, rendering of drawings, working with code)

Having calculated the cost, our manager sends you a quote. If you agree to its conditions, we sign a contract and work on the project commences. If you have any objections, we discuss possible options and agree on new conditions.

  • 05

    We work on the project

When all the details have been agreed upon and the contract is signed, the project manager analyzes your requirements, field of the text and its particular features, prepares the terms of reference and assigns a provider to the project. Where required, several providers are appointed to one order. This is no cause for concern, as this does not affect the translation quality: we take advantage of state-of-the-art technologies and software enabling us to ensure uniformity in terminology and style.

The project manager elaborates a work plan and assigns the tasks (if your task requires several translators and other specialist revisers, proofreaders, a DTP specialist etc.).

Before launching work, our providers study the specialist field, and conduct research, if necessary, to really Get to grips with the subject matter of the project and feel comfortable with the field and vocabulary. For projects involving a team of translators, the results from research and any glossaries are available to all team members and revisers.

Only after getting prepared and studying the specialist field will the provider(s) translate the text. Then an independent reviser reads through the entire translation. Both linguists specialize in the industry related to the field of the text.

Then comes the proofreading stage. Our in-house proofreader checks the final text for spelling, punctuation, and stylistic errors. The terminology, abbreviations, units of measurement etc. are also made consistent at this step. The proofreader checks the layout of tables, graphs, drawings, and diagrams.

An automated quality check is included in the proofreading step. For the automated quality control programs XBench and Verifika, we use our own Russian language plugin. These software products analyze the source and target texts, identify translations that are too short or long compared to the source, find extra spaces and punctuation marks and repeated words, compare numbers, etc. Automated quality control (QA) is a kind of “fine sieve” through which we process the output text to make sure we have a perfect final result.

  • 06

We give a report on the work done

The final step incorporates any additional customer requirements for ready-to-print preparation, DTP and layout implementation. The project manager checks the final project once again. After this last check, the client manager sends you the finalized project in digital form and in the required format. If you are happy with the result, the project is considered completed. In case you have any remarks and/or corrections, we will coordinate additional efforts to implement these.

Specialized Software Packages

When a company is flooded with orders, it can be difficult to keep up. We have found a typically-Databridge solution to this problem: we use professional project management and quality management systems, along with computer-aided translation systems. These tools enable us to deliver the highest quality services in a fair time and at the right price.

  • Specialized Project Management System and CRM

All up-to-date information on the operations of the agency is stored in the project management and CRM systems, because they are fast, precise and accessible from anywhere in the world, with protection against external access and tailored to your needs!

  • QA: Automated Quality Assurance Systems

We use these programs to carry out formal checks of the translation for consistency, compliance with customer instructions and established design rules, as well as the accuracy of individual units (numbers, terms, etc.).

  • Computer-aided Translation Systems

Our agency extensively relies upon technological tools, so called computer-aided translation (CAT) programs used to compile translation databases. This strategy helps us to organize the work of our translator teams, reduce costs in the translation of standard texts and maintain the consistency of style and terminology within a project.
